Link to Programme > Registration > Link to ISOE Website > Prior to the symposium, on Monday 20 June 2022, two meetings deveoted to specific audiences have been organised: Radiation Protection Managers Meeting and a Regulatory Body Representatives Meeting. Technical Exhibitions will give participants the opportunity to see the latest developments from industrial and commercial companies active in fields of radiation protection. This symposium will target all those concerned with radiological protection at nuclear power plants: radiation protection managers and staff members, maintenance and operation planners, contractors, exposed workers, regulatory body representatives and international organizations. The European Technical Centre of the Information System on Occupational Exposure (ISOE) will be a holding an international symposium in collaboration with Electricite of France (EDF), OECD Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA) and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on 21-23 June 2022 in Tours, France.

Despite the challenge of the low reference dose values, more than 90 % of the resulting response values of the irradiated dosemeters were within the recommended ISO 14146 trumpet curve response limits. Typical values of the measured background dose were between 200 μSv and 450 μSv with a few significantly higher values up to 1.6 mSv. Another six dosemeters of each participating system were not irradiated and were used for background dose subtraction. Six dosemeters of each participating system were irradiated with Cs-137 gamma reference radiation: Three dosemeters with 150 μSv and three dosemeters with 300 μSv. The challenge of this intercomparison was measuring additionally irradiated low dose radiation.
Three measurement conditions were provided at locations of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology: 3-months indoor, 3-months outdoor and 6-months outdoor. The European Radiation Dosimetry Group (EURADOS) has released a new report on the intercomparison 66 participating passive H*(10) area dosimetry systems from 47 different institutes and monitoring services carried out between May 2021 and April 2022.
